Dr. April Schachtel is a board-certified dermatologist with primary clinical interests in nail diseases, teledermatology, and the dermatology needs of veterans. Dr. Schachtel is the Chief of Dermatology for the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Site Rotation Director for UW Dermatology residents and the Director of UW Internal Medicine Residency Dermatology Rotations. She is a member of American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Physicians and serves as a Member of Dermatology Task Force for National VA Cerner Implementation.
