Phillip Fleckman, M.D., is a board-certified physician who sees patients at the Dermatology Center at UWMC-Roosevelt and the Veterans Administration Puget Sound, and a professor of Dermatology and Medicine in the UW Medicine Division of Dermatology. Dr. Fleckman enjoys interacting with people with difficult disorders, making informed and joint decisions about how to approach their problem, and making them better. Dr. Fleckman earned his M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. His clinical and research interests include blistering skin diseases, inherited scaling skin diseases (the ichthyoses), disorders of the nails and general dermatology. Dr. Fleckman was the Principal Investigator of the National Registry for Ichthyosis and Related Disorders, an NIH-sponsored research registry for individuals with disorders of keratinization, and is editor emeritus of the Dermatology Online Journal.

He enjoys teaching students and residents interested in dermatology and skin biology.
