UW Dermatology Leaving X for Bluesky

The UW Department of Dermatology has made the decision to discontinue our activities on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) as of April 1, 2025.

As an alternative to X, we invite you to follow us on Bluesky, @uwdermatology.bsky.social, for the latest news from our department.  

In recent years, X has increasingly become a platform where political propaganda spreads unchecked, misinformation proliferates, and moderation falls short. As a result, it no longer provides the reliable environment necessary for UW Dermatology to share accurate scientific information and engage meaningfully with our community. 

BlueSky offers stronger moderation and an expanding network of reputable scientists, institutions, and media organizations. With its commitment to fostering a more respectful and trustworthy space, BlueSky presents an opportunity for UW Dermatology to enhance its communication and outreach efforts.
