Emily HuynhCongratulations to Nghiem Lab Undergraduate Research Assistant, Emily Huynh, for her inclusion in the University of Washington’s 2022 Husky 100. Emily has made notable contributions to several research projects since joining the lab in 2020. She is a UW Honors and Biology student with plans to pursue medical school following her graduation.

In UW Honors and Biology, I studied not only body systems but also interdisciplinary links between healthcare and social justice. I applied my passion for health equity and amplifying historically unheard voices as a child of Vietnamese immigrants through clinical research and partnerships with youth experiencing houselessness in Seattle. My time as a Husky centered on growing as a leader amidst challenges and serving people from all backgrounds, as I strive to continue as a future physician. –Emily Huynh

The Husky 100 recognizes 100 UW undergraduate and graduate students who are making the most of their time at the UW.

Congratulations Emily!
