Dr. Andrea Kalus represents Washington state at the AADA virtual legislative conference
On Tuesday Sept. 15, Dr. Andrea Kalus met virtually with the offices of Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell and Pramila Jayapal to raise awareness around legislative issues that affect dermatology and the health issues faced by our patients.

The 2020 AADA virtual legislative conference wrapped up in mid September with record breaking attendance from 330 people participating from 44 states. The conference advocated for stability in medicare reimbursement and support for healthcare teams impacted by COVID. The attendees also advocated for research funding and access to telemedicine; they advocated for physicians to retain authority over prescribing practices and to lessen the burden on patients to complete step therapy and prior authorizations for medicines and procedures.
