Dr. Paul Nghiem Named Secretary-Treasurer for Society for Investigative Dermatology
Dr. Paul Nghiem, professor and head of Dermatology at the University of Washington, assumes the 6-year term of the Secretary-Treasurer after over 20 years of affiliation with the Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID).
SID is a national society with a mission of advancing and promoting the sciences relevant to skin health and disease through education, advocacy, and scholarly exchange of scientific information. SID hosts a national conference annually and provides numerous resources to support dermatology investigators at various stages of their careers.
The Secretary-Treasurer oversees financial and operational aspects of SID including oversight of awards and grant programs, stewardship of the annual meeting program and serving as a representative with internal and external partners.
As secretary, Nghiem believes it is his duty and privilege to give back to the group that has aided his own career.

Nghiem brings his experiences as a renown expert in Merkel Cell Carcinoma and a leader in clinical dermatology to the position looks forward to expanding the reach and impact of SID's programs for a new generation of dermatology investigators.
