EJ Hill Joins UW Dermatology Finance Team

The UW Department of Dermatology is delighted to welcome Evan “EJ” Hill (he/him) as a Fiscal Specialist on our Finance Team. EJ will officially join us on March 10, 2025.

In his role as Fiscal Specialist, EJ will contribute to the department’s financial operations, including analyzing, processing, and auditing financial transactions, managing travel compliance and reimbursements, overseeing procurement and reconciliation processes, generating financial reports, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving process improvements for fiscal efficiency and accuracy.

Hometown: Alameda, CA

What is your previous work and education experience?  

I joined the University of Washington in July 2023 in a temporary role as a Budget Fiscal Analyst with Grant and Contract Accounting. Prior to that, I gained experience in the tech industry with Meta, and in the security industry with Merrill Lynch.

I earned my bachelor's degree in finance from San Jose State University. Additionally, I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. 

What do you like to do in your free time? 

In my free time, I enjoy photography, practicing Muay Thai, and engaging in water activities such as jet skiing. 

What is your favorite thing about living in and around Seattle? 

I enjoy running, and Seattle offers amazing scenery along with a vibrant outdoor running community.
