Dr. Paul Nghiem Named Vice Chair for NCCN Panel on Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Guidelines

Please join us in congratulating Paul Nghiem, MD, PhD, Chair of the UW Department of Dermatology, and Director of the Merkel Cell Carcinoma Collaborative (MC3) Institute, on assuming the role of Vice Chair for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s (NCCN) Skin Cancers Excluding Melanoma Guidelines Panel.  Paul Nghiem, MD, PhD

In this nationally recognized leadership position, Dr. Nghiem will collaborate with fellow panel members from across the 33 major cancer centers in the US to review, refine, and advance the NCCN Guidelines for Merkel cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. 

NCCN logo The NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology provide evidence-based, consensus-driven guidance for cancer management to ensure that all patients receive preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive services that are most likely to lead to optimal outcomes. Most insurance companies use the NCCN Guidelines to determine the standard of care, and what services will and will not be reimbursed for each cancer type.
