Welcome Clinical Research Coordinator Jennifer Chen

UW Dermatology is pleased to announce Jennifer Chen, MD, (she/her) will be joining our division as a Clinical Research Coordinator supporting the work of Michi Shinohara, MD, Associate Chief.

Jennifer is a recent graduate of University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She officially started on June 26, 2023.

Biography

Jennifer received her BS in Biochemistry from Bates College in 2016. In June 2023, she graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Throughout medical school, Jennifer held several research positions including Research Fellow and Research Intern for the Wei Lab located at the University of California, San Francisco.

At the Wei Lab, Jennifer worked on research projects focused on artificial intelligence (AI), keratoacanthoma and hidradenitis suppurativa, the effects of air pollution on healthcare utilization, and many more. Her work has been published in several high impact medical journals.

Jennifer has previous research and management experience as a Clinical Trials Program Management Coordinator at the University of California, San Francisco Breast Care Center, a Research Intern and Summer Fellow at the Meyerson Lab (Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT), and Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Williams Lab at Bates College.
