Dr. Jeremy Kampp Accepts New Leadership Role as Director of Procedural Dermatology

The University of Washington Division of Dermatology is pleased to announce that Jeremy Kampp, M.D., has accepted a new leadership position as the Director of Procedural Dermatology (DPD), beginning July 1, 2022. 

In addition to his new role, Dr. Kampp will remain the Director of Dermatologic Surgery, Clinical Associate Professor and a full-time dermatologic surgeon for UWMC-Roosevelt’s Dermatology Surgery Center. As the Director of Procedural Dermatology, Dr. Kampp will advise UW Dermatology’s Executive Committee on issues related to procedural dermatology and expansion.

Beginning in July, Dr. Kampp will begin leading the division’s clinical expansion efforts for dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. As our capacity for these procedures grow, Dr. Kampp will help standardize the operational processes and compliance across the division’s outpatient clinics (including UWMC-Roosevelt Dermatology Center, Harborview Medical Center (HMC), Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), UW Medicine’s Eastside Specialty Center (ESC) and any future clinical sites).

Dr. Kampp will work hand in hand with UW Dermatology’s residency program directors to develop relevant procedural dermatology curriculum to ensure faculty and trainees have the required and most appropriate training to perform dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. He will also support the Associate Chief of Dermatology and Director of Clinical Operations in their efforts to grow and sustain the division’s wellness program for physicians.

Dr. Kampp earned his M.D. from Loyola University, summa cum laude. He first came to the Division of Dermatology in 2014 to become the Director Dermatologic Surgery, Clinical Assistant Professor and dermatologic surgeon for UWMC-Roosevelt’s Dermatology Surgery Center. His clinical interests include Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, diagnosis and management of skin cancer and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kampp is an expert in Mohs micrographic surgery, one of the most effective state-of-the-art procedures for treating skin cancer.
