Nghiem Lab Team & Research Partners

Each year the Nghiem Lab hosts the Merkel CELLebration to share the latest advances in the treatment of Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC), a rare and lethal form of skin cancer, and to connect with the lab’s extensive community of patients and their families, physicians, pharmaceutical partners, and scientific experts.

Rongxiang Lin leads lab tour
Research Scientist Rongxiang Lin takes attendees on a tour of the Nghiem Lab.

The program included musical performances (including a violin duet by Dr. Nghiem and his son), engaging patient stories discussing their experiences with MCC, and a presentation of new research and clinical developments. Attendees also had the opportunity to take a tour the Nghiem Lab, guided by members of the lab’s research team.

Thank you to all who attended this year’s Merkel CELLebration & Dinner! We are honored to be a partner as we come together to fight this disease.

Special thank you to the entire Nghiem Lab Research Team for their help planning and organizing this year’s event.

For those who were unable to join in person, a recording of the lab tour and this year’s presentation can be found below.

Haroldo Rodriguez, PhD student, and Jung Hyun Lee, PhD, Research Fellow, speak with attendees about their research posters.
