Dr. Jenny Wei Joins UW Dermatology Faculty
Please join us in welcoming Jenny Wei, MD, (she/her/hers) to the Department of Dermatology as an Acting Instructor and dermatologist who will be based at the Roosevelt Dermatology Center, South Lake Union, and University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Inpatient Consult Service!
Dr. Wei joins us after recently graduating from the Dermatology Residency program at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Wei demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her residency, excelling in her role as Chief Resident. She significantly transformed the chief year at UPenn, introducing innovative changes to clinical rotations and didactic schedules that enhanced the educational experience for both residents and faculty. She has a proven track record as an investigative dermatologist, having been published in several prominent journals such as Science Immunology. Dr. Wei is also an accomplished speaker who has presented at both regional and national conferences.
Dr. Wei earned her BS in Biological Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015. She earned her MD at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. After completing her MD, Dr. Wei completed her Internal Medicine Internship in 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She then completed her Dermatology Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2024.
In her time outside of work Dr. Wei enjoys collecting houseplants, trying new foods, and exploring, for the first time, the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest.
