Associate Chief Dr. Shinohara named to national APD Program Committee

Michi ShinoharaDr. Michi Shinohara, Derm Associate Chief and Piepkorn Endowed Chair, has been appointed to serve on the Association of Professors of Dermatology Program Committee.

The APD is a national professional organization of academic dermatologists that serves to promote the advancement of education, research and patient care in the Dermatology field by providing networking. professional development and educational resources for trainees and members as well as stewardship for the profession at large. 

Dr. Shinohara will serve on the Program Committee, one of three committees at the national level, which serves to design and implement educational programming for the APD's Annual Meeting. Each year, the Annual Meeting provides members with professional development and network opportunities and a space for "sharing experiences and ideas, common interests and concerns, developing common solutions, and learning from one another". Dr. Shinohara will serve on the committee through 2024, and serve as the committee chair in 2023.
