Welcome Academic HR Manager Melissa Vipperman

UW Dermatology is pleased to welcome Melissa Vipperman (she/her/hers) as our division's new Academic HR Manager!

Melissa joins UW Dermatology from the UW Department of Neurology, where she provided administrative and HR support. She will officially join our Administrative Team on July 17, 2023.

Melissa Vipperman

Work & Education Background: 

“I received my bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Ohio State University. While I was in college, I worked full time for Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

After I moved out to Seattle, I started my tenure at UW with the Department of Neurology. In my role with Neurology, I was the department expert on faculty promotions and served as the administrative support for the faculty wellness and IDEAS (inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism, social justice) committees.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I am equally a homebody as I am an outdoor enthusiast. Some of my hobbies include traveling, hiking, karaoke, trivia, and playing different types of games (video game, board game- all types!). I also love spending time at home with my two kitties.”
