2022 William Baker Meritorious Service Awards
The University of Washington Division of Dermatology is proud to announce the recipients of the 2022 William Baker Meritorious Service Awards.
Each year, the Baker Awards recognize the outstanding teaching, commitment and service of our volunteer faculty who have completed at least 2-3 months of volunteer attending in our clinics, in addition to other volunteer activities.
The Baker Awards commemorate the service of Dr. William “Bill” Baker, former UW Dermatology faculty member and chief of services in dermatology at Harborview Medical Center. Known affectionately as the “dean of dermatology” by his colleagues, Dr. Baker is remembered for his extraordinary contributions to the Division during its formative years. Throughout his nearly 50-year career, Dr. Baker mentored and taught skin surgery to many young dermatologists, in addition to caring for thousands of patients at the University of Washington, Seattle Children's, Providence and Swedish hospitals.
