Christopher Johnson Wins Medical Scholars Research Fellowship Award


Please join us in congratulating Christopher "CJ" Johnson, Simpson Labsimpsonskinlab.org researcher and second-year medical student at the WWAMI Montana site in Bozemanwww.montana.edu, on winning the Physician-Scientist Support Foundation (PSSF)www.thepssf.org Medical Scholars Research Fellowship (MSRF)www.thepssf.org award for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Christopher is one of only five students in the nation selected to receive a one-year fellowship award for full-time research and a stipend.
The PSSF Medical Scholars Research Fellowship provides research opportunities and mentoring to students who aspire to become physician-scientists and are dedicated to making fundamental discoveries that improve health. The fellowship will allow Christopher to continue his research with the Simpson Lab, led by Cory Simpson, MD, PhD, Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor in the UW Division of Dermatology.
Christopher previously worked as a research scientist at the Center for Translational Medicine
