Jessica Ayers Receives Travel Award from UC Irvine Skin Biology Resource Center

Congratulations to Jessica Ayers, a PhD student in the laboratory of Cory Simpson, MD, PhD, who was recently awarded a $1000 travel grant from the NIH-funded UC Irvine Skin Biology Resource Center to attend the SID 2025 Annual Meeting in San Diego this May. Jessica Ayers

At the SID, Jessica will deliver a plenary talk focused on her thesis project that has engineered a novel 3D tissue model for studying the genetic skin blistering disorder, Hailey-Hailey disease.  

Jessica was one of only three awardees chosen to receive a Trainee Meeting Attendance grant from the UC Irvine Skin Biology Resource Center’s Enrichment Program, which offers a range of initiatives and awards designed to support research and collaboration.
