UW Dermatology Shines at AAD 2025
UW Dermatology was proud to participate in the 2025 American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting, held March 7-11 in Orlando. Faculty, residents, and fellows from our department joined more than 20,000 attendees to explore the latest advancements in dermatology, engage with colleagues and partners, and attend a variety of educational sessions.
This year, we were especially honored to have over a dozen faculty and trainees contribute their research, educational insights, and clinical expertise as session leaders or guest speakers.

UW Dermatology hosted our Annual AAD Reunion on Saturday, March 8, 2025, reconnecting current and former faculty, staff, trainees, research partners, and friends of UW Dermatology for an evening of fun, laughter, and reminiscing.

Braving the Orlando SlingShot
Dr. Paul Nghiem and Peter Ch'en, Nghiem Lab Clinical Research Fellow, took their AAD adventure to new heights — literally — by riding the Orlando SlingShot, the world’s tallest slingshot ride! They were catapulted 450 feet into the air at speeds reaching 100 mph in just two seconds, experiencing weightlessness and a heart-pounding freefall before bouncing back up for another round.
