The end of medical school and the transition to residency is one of the most exciting times in a physician’s career—but it also is a period that may bring some uncertainty. To help offer guidance, current UW Dermatology residents are hosting a Virtual Resident Panel for first, second, and third-year medical students interested in dermatology and looking ahead to residency.

Hear from current dermatology residents about their experience applying to residency and why they chose to pursue dermatology as a specialty. Special emphasis will be placed on applying to residency as an Underrepresented in Medicine (URM) student.

Discussion Topics

  • Hear perspectives from current UW Dermatology residents
  • Tips for applying to residency
  • Deciding which program/specialty is right for you
  • Balancing residency and personal life
  • Managing finances
