We are excited to welcome Rishi Biswas to the UW Department of Dermatology as an Undergraduate Office Assistant supporting our finance team. 

Rishi BiswasRishi (he/him/his) is a sophomore at the University of Washington majoring in Geography and Data Science. He is originally from Arcadia, California. 

What drew you to this position?

I applied for this position with the finance team because I am eager to gain practical work experience and develop new skills that will bolster my resume. As a student assistant, I recognize the value of hands-on learning and believe this opportunity will provide valuable insights into finance operations within a professional setting. 

What do you like most about being a student at UW?

What I like most about being a student at UW is the vibrant and diverse community which fosters intellectual growth and collaboration. Moreover, the breathtaking beauty of the University of Washington campus, nestled between the scenic backdrop of Mount Rainier and the tranquil waters of Lake Washington, creates an inspiring environment for learning and exploration.  

What are some of your goals after you graduate?

After graduating from UW I hope to get some post-bachelor’s work experience and then further my education through pursuing a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree. 

Following graduation, my objectives encompass acquiring professional experience before I embark on a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) program, aimed at deepening my comprehension of public & global health challenges. Ultimately, I aim to leverage my expertise in data analysis within international organizations to investigate disease patterns and play a pivotal role in initiatives focused on improving global health outcomes. 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work and school?

Outside of work and school, I enjoy playing and listening to music, engaging in basketball and soccer, following Formula 1, and spending quality time with friends exploring Seattle.
