Welcome New Staff Member Devin Moynihan
Please join us in welcoming Devin Moynihan (she/her/hers) to the UW Department of Dermatology! Beginning this week, Devin will serve as an Executive Assistant to Paul Nghiem, MD, Department Chair, and Christine Tezak, Vice Chair of Finance & Administration.
Originally from Sacramento, Devin moved to Seattle about three years ago and holds a BA in Anthropology from University of California Santa Cruz. Devin joins UW Dermatology from Seattle-based non-profit, Path with Art, where she worked as the Executive Administrator supporting the CEO. She also partnered with former COO, Christine Tezak, to develop systems and processes. Previously, Devin has worked as a manager at Sea Wolf Bakery, a project manager in electrical contracting, and in several roles supporting Educational Results Partnership—a California-based non-profit focused on facilitating data sharing between school districts.
She brings a keen eye for detail and organization, while also approaching her work and her team with compassion and a desire to collaborate.
Outside of work, Devin enjoys...hiking and exploring the PNW, hosting game nights with her friends, or cozying up at home, surrounded by her many houseplants.
What were some of the highlights of your summer so far?
Some highlights have been camping in the Hoh Rainforest, visiting family in California, backpacking in the north Cascades, and getting engaged! :)
What are some of your favorite things to do in Seattle?
I enjoy going on walks in my neighborhood in Fremont, or at Green Lake or one of Seattle’s many parks. I like going out for Thai food or pho with my friends. And I love summertime in Seattle – so any activity that will get me outside in the sunshine!
