Spring 2025 Faculty Transitions

Please join us in congratulating our faculty colleagues, Mariam Alam, MD, and Jeremy Kampp, MD, from the UW Department of Dermatology, on their recent appointments to the UW School of Medicine’s Clinical Practice track!
Drs. Alam and Kampp officially assumed their new roles yesterday, Sunday, March 16, 2025.
- Dr. Alam is moving from Clinical Assistant Professor to Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice.
- Dr. Kampp is moving from Clinical Professor to Professor of Clinical Practice.
This track recognizes faculty who dedicate the majority of their time to clinical care, clinical teaching, and engage in service and scholarship. Professor of Clinical Practice (PCP) faculty hold the same voting rights as faculty on the 'regular track,' with a few exceptions.
Mariam Alam, MD
Dr. Mariam Alam returned to UW Dermatology in Sept. 2024 as a Clinical Assistant Professor and dermatologist at Harborview Medical Center. A graduate of our residency program, Dr. Alam has been a dedicated member of our department, consistently demonstrating her commitment to patient care, medical education, and clinical excellence. We are excited to see her continue making meaningful contributions in her new role on the clinical practice track.
Jeremy Kampp, MD
Dr. Kampp first came to UW Dermatology in 2014 to become the Director of Dermatologic Surgery, Clinical Assistant Professor, and dermatologic surgeon for UW Medical Center-Roosevelt’s Dermatology Surgery Center. In 2022, he took on an additional role as Director of Procedural Dermatology. He plays a vital role in our department, ensuring our faculty and trainees receive the latest training in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. His dedication has had a lasting impact, and we look forward to seeing him excel in his new role on the clinical practice track.
