Biography

Tanya Hathaway (she/her/hers) is a board-certified dermatologist at the UW Medical Center–Roosevelt Dermatology Center and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UW Department of Dermatology.  

Originally from Centralia, Wash., Dr. Hathaway received her MD from the UW School of Medicine in 2002. Her postgraduate training includes a medical student research fellowship with the Howard Hugh's Medical Institute, an internship in internal medicine and certificate in medical management from the University of Washington, and residency in dermatology at Yale University.  

Dr. Hathaway specializes in all aspects of medical dermatology including diagnosis, work up, and treatment of skin cancer and inflammatory skin conditions. 

Dr. Hathaway held several volunteer teaching positions throughout her career. She previously served as a volunteer faculty member for both the UW School of Medicine and the Swedish Family Practice Residency program. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American and Academy of Dermatology and Washington State Dermatology Association, where she previously served as a board member and President. 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys being with her family including being in the mountains, hiking with her dog, reading and cooking.
