The UW Department of Dermatology is proud to announce our chief residents for the 2024-25 academic year, Lindsay Gunnell, MD, and Charlotte Read, MBBS, PhD!

Drs. Gunnell and Read will begin their new roles on March 1, 2024, and will primarily be working on scheduling, curriculum, and educational experiences for the upcoming academic year.

Chief Residents are an essential part of UW Dermatology’s Residency Program Leadership Team, providing invaluable leadership, teaching, and support for our trainees. Chief residents are selected in their final year of residency and take on additional responsibilities which include representing the department, empowering and advocating for current residents, and effectively communicating residents’ concerns to the department.

We are confident that Drs. Gunnell and Read will be outstanding chief residents and will do an excellent job in their new roles in the upcoming academic year.

We also would like to recognize the extraordinary efforts of our outgoing chiefs, Mariam Alam, MD and Brian Connor, MD! Thank you for your leadership and contributions to our department.
