Markus Boos, MD, PhD
Markus Boos, MD, PhD, (he, him, his) is an attending pediatric dermatologist at Seattle Children's Hospital, an Associate Professor in the UW Department of Pediatrics, and Clinical Adjunct Professor in the UW Department of Dermatology at the UW School of Medicine. Dr. Boos serves as the Director of the UW Department of Dermatology Residency Training Program. He is an advocate for climate/environmental health as it relates to children's health.

About the Planetary Health Interest Group
The Planetary Health Interest Group at the University of Washington is an interdisciplinary group focused on the consequences of extreme weather and climate change on human health. The group aims to increase community and medical professional awareness of diseases that are rising in prevalence, and to discuss what we can do to manage our risk. Group members work with communities and medical professionals to learn how to get involved in advocacy, such as how to petition elected officials for movement on meaningful legislation in this realm.
