Dr. Kimberly L. Katz Joins UW Dermatology Faculty

Please join us in welcoming Kimberly L. Katz, MD, (she/her/hers) to the Department of Dermatology as an Acting Instructor and dermatologist at the Roosevelt Dermatology Center and Eastside Specialty Center as well as UW inpatient consult service!  

Kim KatzDr. Katz joins us after recently graduating from the Dermatology Residency program at the Medical College of Wisconsin. During residency, Dr. Katz oversaw the dermatology team at the VA Medical Center as a senior resident.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Katz is a highly active member of several dermatology organizations. As a member of the Wisconsin Dermatological Society, she played a significant role on the advocacy committee, frequently helping to advance initiatives to improve the care of patients with skin diseases. 

Dr. Katz earned her BA, Cum Laude, in Latin American Studies at Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2008. In 2010, she completed her postbaccalaureate in pre-medicine. She earned her MD at New York Medical College, in 2018. Dr. Katz then completed her Internal Medicine Internship in 2019 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. After completing her internship, she worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisc. from 2019-2021.  

Dr. Katz brings a fresh perspective, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to patient care and research. We are thrilled to welcome her as she begins this exciting next chapter of her career!  

In her time outside of work Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with her family as a new mom, playing golf, and traveling.
