DERM 499 Undergraduate Research (Independent Study)
Course Description: Laboratory research within the Department of Dermatology. Must be supervised directly by UW faculty. This course is for undergraduate students only.
Learning Objectives (Required)
- Apply and integrate knowledge and material from previous coursework and/or research projects by conducting an independent research project
- Summarize the professional, scientific, and/or academic literature regarding a specific topic or method.
- Produce a written or oral presentation about a clinical case or series, research findings, or literature review.
Credits: For lab research, undergraduates students need to spend a minimum of 3 hours per week over a 10-week quarter (30 hours total) for 1 credit.
Grading: Pass/Fail
