Resident Comments:

  • “HBB gives the most timely and actionable feedback of any attending we work with. Her process allows continual growth throughout the rotation and makes for clear expectations and nice, smooth clinics.”
  • “HBB is brilliant, kind, supportive of residents but with high expectations that make us all better, a role model for women in medicine, a true expert and leader in her field. We are so lucky to know her and learn from her!”
  • “HBB has been an excellent role model both in her clinical excellence and her adaptability to meet learners where they are and provide feedback and learning in a style that works best for the learner.”
  • “HBB may have been intimidating at first, but once I got to know her, I realized she is one of the most truly empathetic and caring souls I have encountered in my medical training. She demonstrates a vulnerability with patients that really allows them to open up and its clear that her patients become like family. She strikes the perfect balance of providing direct, actionable feedback and encouraging and supporting your accomplishments. It is truly a pleasure to learn from her, and we are beyond lucky to have her as a mentor.”
  • “HBB, you are an absolute pleasure to work with. Your expertise in pediatric dermatology and your dedication to patients and their families has had a special impact on me. You are excellent and because of that, you demand and expect excellence from your colleagues and those training under you, which makes our program better.”

Leadership Awards

Each year the Leadership Awards recognize residents who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and mentorship skills during their residency training.
