Well-Being

GME Wellness Services — These are free and confidential counseling services for individuals and couples and referrals for FREE visits with a community psychiatrist and a learning specialist. We are here to help you manage stress, gain perspective, work through emotional distress, and better care for your overall health and wellness. 

Whole U — For all UW employees, the Whole U focuses on fostering connection, holistic wellness, and engaging individual interests. Free mindfulness and fitness classes, discounts, and events like National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day. 
 
UW Worklife Programs — For all UW employees, whether you’re a caregiver for a loved one, looking for housing resources, or in need of support for personal or professional challenges, WorkLife has programs to help. 
 
Meditation Rooms — These are available at all UW hospital sites, VA hospital, and Seattle Children’s hospital.

The University of Washington’s Network of Underrepresented Residents and Fellows (UW NURF) is a resident and fellow organization established to promote cultural diversity in medicine through community education, mentorship, professional networking, cultural competency education, and recruitment of underrepresented medical students, residents, and fellows.

The mission of the UW Medicine Office of Healthcare Equity is to reduce disparities in healthcare delivery by educating health professionals informed by principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice; to be a national model for healthcare equity; and to provide local and national leadership in healthcare equity and healthcare justice research.
